Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Sainty (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ricky Hughes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). I don't know about you partner, but I'm pumped for this one!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Daniel Sainty!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Ricky Hughes!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hughes looking to land some kicks to the body here.
A telegraphed right hand from Hughes misses the target.
A little feinted left hand from Sainty on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Hughes throws a series of punches but Sainty moves out of range.
Sainty tried to counter with a leg kick but Hughes avoided it.
Sainty takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Hughes misses with a hook.
Sainty slips a straight right by Hughes.

Sainty scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.
Hughes tries to push off, looking to stand up, but Sainty manages to move to mount!
Hughes is in all sorts of trouble here.
Sainty really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Sainty forces the positional change into back control.

That's one minute gone in the round.
I really don't envy Hughes right now.
Hughes keeps trying to improve his position.
Hughes is still trying to improve position.
What can Hughes do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hughes trying to control the action but Sainty just sinks the hooks in.

Sainty patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here?
Hughes told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Hughes is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
You know, I was talking to some of our celebrities at ringside tonight and they were split right down the middle on who was going to win this fight.
Sainty keeps control of the position as Hughes tries to break free.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Sainty just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Hughes looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Sainty has good solid back control here.
Sainty's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Sainty has his opponent's back but Hughes is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off Sainty.
Ricky Hughes seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Sainty throws a wild body kick that Hughes sees coming a mile off.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Daniel Sainty will probably get the nod.
That's time! Back to the action!


Hughes dances in with a quick combination. Sainty is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Hughes snaps Sainty's head back. Sainty stumbles backwards against the cage. Hughes steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Sainty's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Sainty just didn't come prepared.

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Ricky Hughes!
