Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Pozar Pozar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dan Sten (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pozar comes to the cage accompanied by z Buta Wjeżdzam. Pozar Pozar has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 25 - 36 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Pozar Pozar!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 21 - 17 - 0, fighting out of London, Dan Sten!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Fujiwara, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pozar avoids the head kick by Sten.
Dan Sten seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sten tests Pozar's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Sten throws a jab when Pozar was well out of range.
Sten cracks the inside of Pozar's front leg.
Sten throws a leg kick but he was too far away and it doesn't land.
Pozar changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
The fight stays on the outside here - Pozar looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Sten throws the left hand but Pozar avoids the punch easily.
Pozar slips a jab from Sten.
Pozar connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

Pozar tries to close the distance and clinch but Sten swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Pozar decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Sten throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Pozar tries to clinch but Sten moves out of range.
Sten jabs Pozar right on the nose. Pozar blinks but takes it well.
A telegraphed right hand from Sten misses the target.
Sten lands a nice leg kick that just misses Pozar's sensitive parts.
Pozar really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Pozar wants to slow Sten down by chopping away at his legs.
It seemed like Sten was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Sten throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

Pozar half commits to a counter takedown before pushing away, out of range.
Sten throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Pozar's head.

Pozar closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Sten quickly recovers to half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Sten is trying to stand back up but Pozar is controlling him

Sten felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
Sten has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Pozar is working away from the top position though.
Pozar is looking to take a break and control but Sten is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Pozar is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Pozar wants to work for an arm triangle but Sten is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Sten is doing well to control the position and prevent Pozar from advancing to side control.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Pozar connects with a nice short shot to Sten's temple.
Pozar will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Sten has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Pozar misses with a takedown attempt - Sten sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Pozar takes a thudding leg kick, right into the meat of the thigh.
Pozar uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Sten.

We've been hearing good reports from Pozar's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

A close second round but Dan Sten will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Pozar wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Sten, who protects the arm well.
Sten is looking to regain half guard here but Pozar keeps moving and retains side control.
Sten pushes Pozar away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Pozar gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Pozar decides to stand back up. Pozar steps back and let's Sten get back to his feet.
Sten throws a decent looking leg kick but it doesn't land clean.
Pozar darts in looking for a takedown but Sten gets double underhooks and turns Pozar into the cage.
Sten scores with a nice body kick.
Sten swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.

Sten pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sten looks to land a right hand but Pozar moved out of range.
Pozar is looking to counter the offense by Sten and move into the clinch.
Sten misses with a head kick.
Sten looks to land a left hand but Pozar moved out of range nicely.
Sten thows a left - swing and a miss!
It looked like Pozar was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

Dan Sten comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I've got Sten winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
