Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Kenzo Nakata (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bob Tramp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The fight MMA fans around the world have waited their entire lives for!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Kenzo Nakata!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Bob Tramp!
The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, Richard Clark and James Atkins.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice sprawl there from Nakata as Tramp shoots in.
Nakata has his takedown stuffed

and Tramp counters with a takedown into side control.
Tramp wants to stand but Nakata has his arm trapped.
Nakata is trying to improve his position.
Nakata is working hard here to advance position.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Nakata is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

and Tramp counters with a big head kick but Nakata shrugs it off.

and Tramp counters with a shoot takedown. Nakata fights it but they end up in guard.
Tramp really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Nakata. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Nakata had isolated an arm as going for an omaplata. Tramp is defending the submission well but is in a very vulnerable position. Nakata Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Tramp's back instead.

Nakata is working really hard to secure the rear naked choke. Tramp defends successfully for a significant amount of time. Both fighters are looking very determined.
Nakata is breathing heavily.
Nakata has good solid back control here.

Nakata has his hand under the chin of his opponent looking for the choke. He's nearly got it! This one could be all over! But no, Tramp has freed his hand and lives to survive another… well, another couple of seconds at least!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Tramp can do anything to dispel that myth.

Nakata doesn't succeed with the takedown

and Tramp counters with a shoot takedown. Nakata fights it but they end up in guard.

Nakata is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Nakata working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Tramp doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Tramp manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Tramp decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Tramp tries to close the distance and clinch but Nakata swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Nakata changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Tramp fights it off and pushes away nicely.

Nakata tries to keep at a distance but Tramp has taken the fight into the clinch.

Bob Tramp showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Tramp is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.
Kenzo Nakata has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

I would just about give that final round to Bob Tramp.
Well Tramp has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
