Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Zackary Gaines (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mifune Kurosawa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Mifune Kurosawa has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kurosawa goes for a spinning back kick but it misses.
It looked like Gaines was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.

Gaines decides to stand up and try his luck on the feet.
Kurosawa throws a lazy right hand but Gaines sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Gaines throws a big counter combination but Kurosawa scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Kurosawa throws a front kick that sends Gaines stumbling back into the cage.
Mifune Kurosawa seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Kurosawa attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin.

Gaines shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Gaines was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!

Kurosawa sneaks out the side door and pushes Gaines away - he's back to his feet. The crowd show their appreciation for the escape.

Kurosawa throws a solid leg kick but Gaines takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Kurosawa.

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Gaines crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kurosawa - the referee stops the clock and Gaines gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kurosawa. Gaines manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Gaines shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Kurosawa is trying to defend but Gaines finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
