Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Xavier Bell (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dominic Sankey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be a great matchup!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Xavier Bell!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Dominic Sankey!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Sam Margolis and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bell showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Sankey.
Sankey misses with a series of wild punches.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Sankey lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Bell has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Bell and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Sankey drives through and clinches with Bell against the cage.
Bell has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Sankey is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Sankey pulls guard.
Bell knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Sankey on the ground.
Bell tries to stand but Sankey is controlling from the bottom.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sankey wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Sankey is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.

Sankey has his foot on Bell's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Bell works his way back into a safe position though.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Bell utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.

Bell on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Bell tries to get out of the position.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
A lazy left from Sankey finds it's target.

Xavier Bell is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bell uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Sankey.
Sankey throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
A big right from Bell misses.
Bell closes the distance but Sankey moves to the side
and Sankey counters with a three punch combo that has Bell backing up. Bell nods at Sankey to acknowledge the strikes.
Bell is breathing heavily.
Left hook, right uppercut from Bell.
Bell misses with a wild combination.
Bell misses with a wild combination.
Sankey looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Sankey rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bell moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

Sankey moves into the clinch successfully.

Sankey has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Bell uses from the top position.
Sankey will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up.

Dominic Sankey showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
That's time! Back to the action! This is the final round!


Sankey throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Sankey lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Sankey doesn't manage to clinch there - Bell circles away.
Bell ducks down and throws a hook to the body.

Xavier Bell seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sankey drops Bell with a right and a left! Sankey comes rushing in but Bell regains his composure and manages to keep Sankey in guard.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Sankey decides to return to a standing position.

Bell takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Sankey throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Bell.

Sankey tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Bell swivels and escapes.
Bell misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
Sankey looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Bell tries to close the distance and clinch up but Sankey swats him away and circles back towards the center.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Dominic Sankey comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Sankey has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
