PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Michael Beleze (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Steve Passion (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Beleze comes to the cage accompanied by The Chosen Ones. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Michael Beleze!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Steve Passion!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Johanna Lukiainen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Beleze has a takedown stuffed.

Passion closes the distance and pushes Beleze back into the cage.
Beleze goes for a takedown in the clinch but Passion prevents it.
Beleze has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Passion avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Michael Beleze. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Beleze has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Passion after a bit of a struggle.
Beleze tries to score a body lock takedown but Passion shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Beleze is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Passion can't fight it off and eventually Beleze manages to take the fight to the floor. Passion looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Beleze trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Passion is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

That's one minute gone in the round.

Beleze thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Beleze won't allow Passion to get back to his feet.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Passion pushes Beleze up against the cage in a clinch.
Beleze could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Passion prevents a takedown attempt there.
Passion stops a takedown attempt from Beleze.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Beleze is working for takedown but Passion is calmly controlling the position for now.
Beleze is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.

Passion manages to break the clinch.

Passion closes the distance and clinches.

Passion breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Passion lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Beleze looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Beleze.
A little jabbing left from Passion on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
Passion stuffs the takedown attempt from Beleze. Beleze gets slowly back to his feet.
Passion lands three nice shots there - that looked like it hurt!
Beleze closes this distance looking for a takedown but Passion circles away.
Beleze moves in looking to clinch but Passion pushes him off.

Passion clinches up with Beleze and pushes him back against the cage.
Passion gets underhooks to prevent Beleze's takedown attempt.
Beleze is working for takedown but Passion is calmly controlling the position for now.
Beleze is breathing heavily.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Passion escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Passion scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Beleze shoots in and drives through. Passion sprawls well.
Passion looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Steve Passion is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Beleze tries for a takedown but Passion circles away easily
and Passion counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Jab, cross, leg kick. Nice combination by Passion!
Passion cracks Beleze with a hook to the temple - Beleze is on wobbly legs here! Passion swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Beleze falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Passion wins by TKO!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:29 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Steve Passion!
Michael Beleze was interviewed post fight and said 'I'll come back swinging '.
