Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Casey Ryback (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Watch Out (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ryback comes to the cage accompanied by Superstition - Stevie Wonder. Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Casey Ryback!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Watch Out!
The judges for this bout are Wesley Smith, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ryback digs a good hook to Out's body.
Ryback lands a nice shot to the body.
Ryback lunges at Out with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Out's hand.
Out ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
As Ryback backs off Out throws a huge counter combo but Ryback manages to avoid it all.
Out doesn't manage to clinch there - Ryback circles away.
Ryback dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

Out fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Ryback, pushing him back against the cage.
Ryback really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Ryback misses with a shot to the kidneys.
A short right hand to the side of the head by Ryback.
I was talking to Ryback's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Ryback gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Out regains guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Out looking to sweep here. No luck so far.
Out keeping full guard, as Ryback tries to pass.
Out is trying to keep Ryback in close.
Ryback is pushing down on Out's leg trying to pass to half guard. Out is fighting to maintain full guard but Ryback has managed to sneak the leg through.
Ryback lands strikes from half guard.
Ryback sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Out defending well though.
Out is staying active underneath Ryback, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Ryback landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent.

Ryback is trying to work for a kimura but Out is defending well.
Out really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Ryback. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Out wants to improve his position but Ryback is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Out trying to control but Ryback postures up.
Ryback passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Out!

Out is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Ryback locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Out is forced to tap!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Casey Ryback!
