I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Erie Von was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Roman walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Von shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Roman defends it nicely.
Ooooh, nice body kick lands from Roman. Von shrugs it off though.
Von looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Von throws the left hand but Roman avoids the punch easily.
Von misses with a wild combination.
Roman throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Roman throws a body shot but no joy.
Von throws a head kick that misses.
Roman looks to land a combination. Von sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.

It looks like Erie Von has been cut.
Roman goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.

Von is rocked!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Roman is throwing a storm of strikes! Right hook, left hook and follows it up with a spinning back fist! Von hits the canvas like a rag doll! And just like that, this one is over!
