PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Vic Thory (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dean Corll (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thory comes into the arena with Sweet Victory blaring out of the sound system. Corll has chosen South Texas Death Ride as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

With a record of 32 - 17 - 1, fighting out of London, Dean Corll!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Corll with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Dean Corll seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Thory throws a looping overhand right but Corll ducks down to avoid it.
Thory has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Corll finds it's way round the side to connect with Thory's head.
Corll throws an overhand right that lands on Thory's shoulder, as Thory tries to avoid the shot.
Thory avoids the body shot from Corll.
Corll scores with a leg kick.
Thory takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Thory looks to land a left hand but Corll moved out of range nicely.
Corll has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Corll tries to move into range but Thory moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.
A clash of legs there as Thory blocks the low kick.
Corll connects with a jab.
Corll tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Corll throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Thory takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Corll shoots in for a takedown and gets it.
Corll thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Thory's head.
Thory pushes Corll off looking to stand but Corll dives back in and keeps control.

Corll seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

Thory's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Corll wants to pass the guard but Thory is keeping the position.
Corll stands up over Thory, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Corll won't allow Thory to sweep him here.

Thory connects with a body shot.
Corll throws a solid leg kick but Thory takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Corll.
Thory was looking to counter that last move with a shot to the body but he didn't commit.
Corll shoots in for a takedown but Thory shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
A little feinted left hand from Thory on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Thory takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.

Thory is looking light on his feet compared to last time was saw him fight.
Thory swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Corll blocks a jab.
Corll feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Thory's calf.
Thory throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Corll sees it coming and avoids it easily.
A chopping leg kick lands by Corll.
Corll fails in his attempt to clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Thory moves out of range of the leg kick from Corll.

A looping hook to the body misses from Thory. Corll does a little dance to reset his feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
