Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Fvd Dfv!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of New York, Ray Millen!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, Anthony Taglia and Russell Pearce.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dfv gets caught napping as Millen dives in and scores a takedown. Dfv manages to retain guard.

Millen is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Millen trying to control but Dfv is working from the bottom.

Millen drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dfv manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Millen has Dfv in his guard.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Millen bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Dfv's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Millen drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Dfv dives on top into guard.

Dfv trying to stand up but can't free himself from Millen's guard.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Millen lands a beautiful sweep and he's now moved into his opponent's guard.

Dfv is pulling down on Millen's head. It's preventing any offense from Millen, at least for the moment.
Dfv keeping moving, preventing Millen from controlling successfully.

Millen thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.

Millen drops back looking for a leg! Dfv is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Dfv manages to kick Millen off! Millen jumps back into Dfv's guard.
Dfv is controlling Millen's posture.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Millen drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Dfv manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Millen has Dfv in his guard.

Dfv seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Dfv passes Millen's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Dfv takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
Dfv looks to be in better condition than last time we saw him fight. Obviously he's been working hard on his cardio.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Millen gets back to full guard.
Millen tries to land a sweep but no joy.

Millen had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dfv defends it easily.
Millen is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Millen looks winded!

Millen is working for a kimura but Dfv is defending it quite comfortably.
We've been informed that Millen has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
Dfv wants to get back to his feet.
Dfv regains full guard. Nicely done.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Dfv controlling Millen's posture.

Millen drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Millen jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Millen throws an elbow that misses. Dfv uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Millen's guard. Nice move by Dfv!

Dfv has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Dfv postures up.
Dfv is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Millen trying to keep a closed guard but Dfv is proving a slippery customer.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Ray Millen will probably get the nod.
That's time! Dfv's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.


Dfv lets the fists fly and connects with a left straight followed by a right hook.
Millen blocks a head kick by Dfv.
Millen tries to clinch there but Dfv circles away.
Millen wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

and Dfv counters with a huge uppercut, hook combination that drops Millen! The ref has seen enough - he's dived in to stop the fight! Brutal strikes by Dfv!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Fvd Dfv!
