The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davenport misses with a wild combination.

Davenport shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Felix's guard.

Felix pushes Davenport off for just long enough to get back to his feet. Very athletic spring there.
Felix dives in for a single leg takedown but Davenport sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Davenport shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Davenport was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Felix manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!
Felix wants to free his trapped foot but Davenport is holding on for dear life with his legs.

Felix is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Davenport sees it coming and defends easily.

Felix looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Felix in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Davenport tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Felix!
