These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gregory misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Sandoval changes levels for a counter takedown but doesn't follow through with his attempt.

Sandoval fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Gregory sprawls well initially but Sandoval persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Gregory wants to control but Sandoval is keeping busy.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Gregory is in a horrible position here. Sandoval smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

It looks like Quincy Gregory has been cut.
Sandoval postures up and throws a couple of big shots that have Gregory in real trouble here! The ref calls for Gregory to improve his position which he doesn't do, so the referee has no choice but to end the fight due to the strikes!
