Honory's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, You can hate me now. Diaz has chosen Sepultura - Refuse/Resist as his entrance music. Jason Honory could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Rodrigo Diaz's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Diaz checks a leg kick.

Honory changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Diaz looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Diaz tries to buck Honory off but Honory is having none of it.
Diaz regains half guard.

Honory throws and elbow that misses. Diaz uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Honory's guard. Nice move by Diaz!
Honory is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Diaz cracks Honory with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Honory defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from Diaz.
Honory flailing away with punches but nothing is landing.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Diaz has hold of Honory's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Honory manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Honory lands a jab. Then a cross. Then finally a nice hook to the body. Good work there by Honory.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Diaz is in a dominant position here, looking for a kimura. Honory looks calm but he's in trouble here. Diaz gets his head over his opponent's head and yanks on the arm. Honory is tapping like a morse code operator on the titanic! SOS! SOS! Diaz lets go of the hold and Honory can pop his arm back in it's socket.
