PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Antione Stark (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Petar Radisic (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). On his way into the cage it seems that Antione Stark has been attacked by a crazed fan! It looks like it might have been the just bleed guy! Luckily Antione Stark seems to be OK! I thought that lunatic was in prison!?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Antione Stark!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Konstantin Menshow, Fedor Mirinova and Illya Tyunina.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Radisic tries a head kick but it misses.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Radisic.
Stark tries to improve position but can't.
Stark is working hard here to advance position.
Stark is looking to get back to his feet here but Radisic is keeping cool and he's managed to take Stark's back.

Radisic is looking to finish the fight by rear naked choke. Stark knows exactly what he's got planned though, so he's defending well. Maybe a few strikes would soften Stark for a finish.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Radisic working for a choke but Stark reverses nicely into Radisic 's guard.

Stark throwing strikes from guard but Radisic blocks nicely.
Stark is working Radisic over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Stark makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard.
Radisic is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Stark dives into side control.
Stark grinds an elbow into Radisic's temple.

Stark wants to lay and pray for a moment but Radisic keeps working.
Stark in side control lands a nice looking series of punches and elbows.
Stark misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Radisic tries to bench press Stark off him but Stark keeps the position.
Stark in side control, just content to control the action for now.
Stark seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Radisic for as long as he can get away with.

Stark wants to lay and pray for a moment but Radisic keeps working.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Stark cracks Radisic with a big right hand but Radisic just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
Radisic is not content to let Stark control the position.

My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
The referee tells the fighters to keep busy.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Radisic explodes with a nice body kick and back out of range. Nice work.

Radisic rushes Stark and presses him up against the cage.

Radisic breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Stark throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Stark fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Radisic gets a clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Antione Stark will probably get the nod.
That's time! Stark's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Radisic throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Antione Stark is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Radisic takes the fight into the clinch.
Stark has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.

Radisic breaks the clinch.

Radisic bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Stark bucks up and manages to escape back to his feet!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Radisic closes the distance and pushes Stark back into the cage.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Stark really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Radisic closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Stark did well to prevent Radisic getting side control.
Stark strikes from the bottom but Radisic passes into mount!
Stark has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Stark is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Stark is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Radisic cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Stark regains half guard.
Stark wants to get back to full guard but Radisic has passed into side control.
Stark manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Stark decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up.
Radisic throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
It looked like Stark was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Radisic.

Radisic fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Stark sprawls well initially but Radisic persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Stark kicks off Radisic and gets to his feet.
Radisic is breathing heavily.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Radisic lands with a nice body punch.

Radisic closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Stark quickly recovers to half guard.
Stark wants to stand back up but Radisic manages to pass into side control.
Stark is trying to get back to his feet.
Radisic wants to lay and pray for a moment but Stark keeps working.
Stark is trying to control Radisic's posture but Radisic avoids it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close second round but Petar Radisic will probably get the nod - 10:9.

Radisic drives through and clinches with Stark against the cage.

Radisic gets control of Stark's arms and successfully pulls guard. Radisic will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Radisic gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Stark closes the distance and pushes Radisic back into the cage.

Radisic pulls guard.
Stark tries to stand but Radisic is controlling from the bottom.
Stark trying to control the position from guard on top but Radisic is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Stark is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Radisic is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.
Stark throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Radisic works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

Radisic is trying to hold Stark in close to prevent damage but Stark has managed to pass into half guard.

Stark wants to work for an arm triangle but Radisic is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Stark looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Radisic wants to control but Stark is keeping busy.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Radisic forces Stark back against the cage and clinches.
Some stalling of biblical proportions here from Radisic.

Radisic breaks from the clinch.
Stark displaying good standup as he scores with a three punch combination.

Radisic shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Radisic was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Stark manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Radisic wants to pass to mount but Stark is defending the position.
Stark gets full guard.

Petar Radisic comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Radisic has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
