Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Big Pokey (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gordon Cummins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Pokey comes to the cage accompanied by Keep My Name Out Yo Mouth. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pokey misses with a telegraphed body shot
and Cummins connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Pokey lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Pokey connects with a jab.

Pokey has closed the distance and engaged Cummins in a clinch.
A battle for position here, against the cage.
Cummins blocks an uppercut.

Cummins looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Cummins blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Pokey is stalling here. The referee will be looking to step in if he doesn't pick up the pace.
Cummins is looking to control Pokey's arms but Pokey gets an underhook and turns him. Now Cummins has his back to the cage.
Cummins is trying to slow down the pace of the fight but Pokey is keeping busy.
Pokey lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Cummins backwards.

Cummins breaks the clinch.
Cummins takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Pokey tries to close the distance and clinch but Cummins swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Pokey misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Cummins's jab looks to have found its range, popping Pokey under the eye.
Pokey punishes Cummins's body with a nice straight punch.
Pokey misses the shot to the body.
Pokey misses with a looping left.
It seemed like Cummins was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
A big left from Cummins misses.

Cummins uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Pokey.

Cummins throws an overhand right that lands on Pokey's shoulder, as Pokey tries to avoid the shot.
Pokey's corner calls for a 1-2. Pokey obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Pokey lands with a big left! Cummins is wobbled badly! Pokey comes in with a flurry of punches and drops Cummins to the floor. The ref jumps in to save him from unneccessary punishment.
