Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dusty Fowler (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nate Tonkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tonkins takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
And Tonkins tries to counter it with a takedown but Fowler pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Tonkins moves into range and clinches up with Fowler.

Fowler controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Fowler looking to sit in guard and control but Tonkins gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Tonkins wants to free his trapped foot but Fowler is holding on for dear life with his legs.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Tonkins is trying to work for a kimura but Fowler is defending well.
Tonkins is looking to take a break and control but Fowler is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Tonkins uses his free foot to push down on Fowler's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Fowler.
Tonkins can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Fowler is looking to escape.

Tonkins is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Fowler is just riding it out for now. Tonkins eventually gives up the hold.

Fowler got a little sloppy there for a moment and Tonkins has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Fowler has managed to get both his arms back between Tonkins's legs - danger averted.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Tonkins closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Fowler to the mat! Fowler manages to get full guard.

Tonkins drops back, looking for a kneebar! Fowler looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Fowler looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Fowler!

Fowler gets to mount! Tonkins was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.

Tonkins has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Tonkins is desperately trying to improve his position but Fowler has a good base and remains in mount.
Tonkins is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.
Fowler lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Fowler cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

That was a close second round but I would say that Dusty Fowler will probably get the nod.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the final round!

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Tonkins holds on and takes a little breather.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Tonkins is pushing down on Fowler's leg trying to pass to half guard. Fowler is fighting to maintain full guard but Tonkins has managed to sneak the leg through.

Well Tonkins has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
