Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Thiago Alves (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mats Svensson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Thiago Alves had real problems making weight for this fight. After initially coming in at 207.4lbs, he had two hours to make the official fight weight. He made it but it will have taken a lot out of him to cut those extra few pounds. Thiago Alves is staring across the cage at his opponent, tweaking his nipples... Tweaking his own nipples that is.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Svensson lands a nice hook to Alves's body. Alves takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Alves looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!
Nice uppercut lands for Svensson. That snapped Alves's head back.
Svensson shoots in and bounces Alves off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Svensson advances to half guard.
Svensson throws a strike but Alves avoids it easily and moves to full guard.
Svensson has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Alves is proving hard to escape from.
Svensson trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Svensson thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Alves looking to hit a scissor sweep but Svensson is one step ahead there.
Svensson connects with a couple of short punches.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Svensson passes Alves's right leg, so he's now in half guard.
Svensson seems like he's working for an arm triangle here. He's freed his trapped foot and he's rotating nicely. Alves is in big trouble! He's tapping out! This one is aaaaaaaaaaaall over!
