Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 14 - 4 - 2, fighting out of Las Vegas, Rick Sanchez!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Ibrahim Abai!
The judges for this bout are Chris Edwards, Daniel Bishop and James Ackerman.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A good leg kick by Sanchez.
Sanchez checks a low kick from Abai.
Sanchez takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Abai has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Abai there as he acknowledges the shot.
Sanchez pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Sanchez looking to take his opponent's legs away with the low kicks.
Abai throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.


It looks like Rick Sanchez has been cut.
Abai looks to score with a jab to the body but Sanchez is just out of range.
Ibrahim Abai seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Abai.
Sanchez blocks the body kick.
Sanchez scores with a hook.
Abai throws a chopping leg kick but Sanchez manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Sanchez seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Abai takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Abai swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Abai.
Sanchez lands a jab to the head.
Sanchez ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Sanchez connects with an inside leg kick.
Abai tries to land a front kick but Sanchez steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
Abai throws a lazy head kick
and Sanchez counters with a straight that turns Abai's legs to rubber! Sanchez pushes forward with more strikes and Abai goes down, battered and bloody! That's a wrap folks!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rick Sanchez!
In his post fight interview, Rick Sanchez started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
