Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Young Gunner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kareem Dennis (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighter's entrance songs getting the crowd jumping here.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Young Gunner!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Kareem Dennis !
The judges for this bout are Dean Styles, Franklyn Lucas and Eddie Farnsworth.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gunner moves in looking to clinch but Dennis pushes him off.
Dennis feints the counter takedown.

Gunner instigates a clinch.
Dennis wants to take the fight to the mat but Gunner manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
Dennis tries to pull guard but Gunner holds him up against the cage and eventually Dennis drops back down to his feet.

Gunner is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Dennis can't fight it off and eventually Gunner manages to take the fight to the floor. Dennis looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Gunner knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dennis on the ground.

Dennis has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Gunner can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Dennis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gunner gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Our spies down at at Touch Of Death Combat Academy inform us that Dennis has really been working on his submissions in the buildup to this fight. Will it pay off?

Dennis is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Gunner defends well.

Dennis has his foot on Gunner's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Gunner works his way back into a safe position though.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.

Dennis is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.

Gunner gets to his feet - Dennis follows without any prompting.

Gunner has closed the distance and engaged Dennis in a clinch.

That's time! Gunner's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.



Gunner rushes Dennis and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Dennis ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Dennis no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
Dennis wants to stand up but Gunner is controlling him.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gunner tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gunner avoids the attempt from Dennis to control.

Gunner gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!
Gunner tries to close the distance and clinch up but Dennis swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Dennis is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.

Dennis is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Dennis fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Young Gunner has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kareem Dennis .

Gunner gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Dennis regains guard.

Dennis escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Gunner gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

That was a close second round but I would say that Young Gunner will probably get the nod.

Dennis is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far.

Dennis seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Gunner wanted to stand there but Dennis had control of the position.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

Gunner is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Dennis has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Gunner is looking to defend but Dennis has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Gunner! Dennis pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Gunner taps out and this one is all over!

Kareem Dennis decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
