Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Dan Gombos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Abdullah Zaire (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Dan Gombos!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 14 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Abdullah Zaire!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Daniel Bishop and Donald Grub.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Zaire lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Gombos has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Gombos and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Zaire has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.
Gombos misses with a body shot.
Gombos looks to score with a jab to the body but Zaire is just out of range.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Zaire! But no joy.
Gombos looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

It seemed like Zaire was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.

Zaire closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Gombos's guard.

Zaire looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks Gombos with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Zaire is trying to control. Gombos wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close second round but I would say that Dan Gombos will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

The sound of bone on bone echoes around the arena as Gombos checks a leg kick.

Dan Gombos spent the whole post fight interview bigging himself up. It didn't go down that well with the fans after a while as they thought it was a bit arrogant.
