Blackson is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: ABN - who's the man. Curtis Fist has the edge in experience - let's see if he can make that count tonight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blackson misses with a takedown attempt - Fist sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Fist looks exhausted already! Oh dear, he should have come in in better shape than this!

Fist fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Blackson, pushing him back against the cage.
Blackson using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Fist has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Fist decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Blackson is looking to improve his position.

Blackson controls Fist momentarily but Fist frees himself.
Fist won't allow Blackson to sweep him here.
Blackson is trying to hold Fist in close to prevent damage but Fist has managed to pass into half guard.

Blackson has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Fist is working away from the top position though.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.

Fist forces Blackson back against the cage and clinches.
Blackson wants to strike at distance but he can't break free of the clinch.
Blackson tries to score a body lock takedown but Fist shows good agility there to stay on his feet.

Fist drags the fight down to the ground.
Fist has a closed guard, preventing Blackson from standing up.
Blackson pushes down on Fist's leg and manages to get into half guard.
Fist on his back here. We all know that wrestlers don't like being on their back so let's see if Fist tries to get out of the position.

Blackson is keen to just control but Fist is a slippery customer.
Fist knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Blackson on the ground.

Blackson shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Fist as he jumps to the side.
Blackson avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Blackson closes the distance and clinches up with Fist, looking for a takedown. Blackson pushes Fist against the cage but Fist circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Fist misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Fist tries to lock up and control but Blackson gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Blackson postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Fist looks a forlorn figure.

It looks like Curtis Fist has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Blackson is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Fist is forced to tap! Great finish!
