The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ortiz circles away from the clinch attempt.
Ortiz stuffs the takedown attempt from Trill. Trill gets slowly back to his feet.

Ortiz clinches up against the cage.
Trill fails to pull guard.
Ortiz tries a knee to the head but Trill blocks it.

Ortiz escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Trill feints and as Ortiz raises his hands in defense, Trill changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.

Trill drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Trill jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Trill has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Ortiz can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Trill has his foot on Ortiz's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Ortiz works his way back into a safe position though.
