The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Ben Hemmingworth and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Hull looking to score a takedown here. Diaz is defending well but Hull drives through and ends up in Diaz's guard.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Diaz told us pre-fight that he has been working on his escapes in training. Let's see if he can call on some of his new skills to get back to his feet.
Hull lands a couple of digs.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Diaz had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hull defends it easily.
Hull cracks Diaz with a solid left hand.

Diaz is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hull gets to his feet and stands over Diaz, holding his ankles. He dives in with a big left hand that connects! Diaz felt that one! Hull unloads more punches and elbows and this one is over! The ref has dived in to save Diaz from any more punishment!
