The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Huchkov closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the ropes.
With the fighters up against the ropes, Huchkov throws an elbow but misses.
Huchkov lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.

Huchkov breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Torres throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Huchkov on the side of the head.

Huchkov scores a knockdown with a big right hand! Torres beats the count and gets back to his feet. The referee asks him to walk forwards and it appears he is OK so we'll continue the bout.

It looks like Alfredo Torres has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Huchkov takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.

Torres is rocked!
Huchkov connects with a quick right hand that sends Torres tumbling backwards onto the canvas! As his head bounces into the ropes, it doesn't look good for him beating the count! 3,4,5,6,7 and he's up! No, he's back down again! This one is all over - the referee has called off the fight!

After the fight, Matel Huchkov was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
