Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Allen Randall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Hart (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Allen Randall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Hart!
The judges for this bout are Roosa Järviläinen, Matti Vanhoillinen and Arvi Lind.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hart displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Randall.

Hart shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Hart was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
Randall tries to wriggle free to get back to his feet but he's given up his back! Oops.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
A bit of a pause in the action here. Hart controlling the positon.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hart's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Randall tries to escape the position.
Hart is not going to allow Randall to sit and survive in this position.
Hart controlling well, preventing Randall from escaping the position.
Hart trying to secure his dominant position for a moment - making sure Randall doesn't escape.
Randall is trying to break free.
Randall is very frustrated here, being controlled quite effectively by Hart.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.
Hart just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
It looks like Hart might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.
Hart has the hooks in. Randall is trying to push off one leg but he has to do so cautiously to avoid being submitted.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Randall is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Hart not allowing Randall to control his hands.

I really don't envy Randall right now.
Hart controls the position.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Randall wants to control his opponent's hands but Hart gets his hands free.
Hart has good solid back control here.
Hart controlling well, preventing Randall from escaping the position.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Hart is not going to allow Randall to sit and survive in this position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Hart dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Hart clinches with his opponent.
Randall can't get the takedown.
Randall is looking for a takedown.

Hart successfully pulls guard.
Randall throws a strike but Hart rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.


Randall is working an open guard so Hart takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.

Hart moves into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hart jumps into guard, dragging Randall to the mat.
Randall will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Randall postures up in Hart's guard and throws a big left but Hart blocks it.
Randall throws an elbow that misses. Hart uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Randall's guard. Nice move by Hart!

Randall looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Hart puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

Hart with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.

Hart postures up and decides to stand up, from the half guard. The ref calls for Randall to stand up.

Randall gets caught napping as Hart dives in and scores a takedown. Randall manages to retain guard.
Randall has a closed guard, preventing Hart from standing up.

Randall has his foot on Hart's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Hart works his way back into a safe position though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Randall working for submissions but it's allowed Hart to get to half guard.
Hart content to sit in half guard and control for a moment.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Randall is trying to control but can't.
Randall is looking to get back to full guard here but Hart has managed to pass to side control instead.
Randall looks to move to half guard but instead Hart has passed into mount! Damn!

Hart gets to his feet and calls his opponent to stand. Here come the fireworks!

Hart drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Hart seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Randall is trying to keep Hart in close.
Hart stays in close to Randall's body and controls the position.
Randall has a closed guard, preventing anything of note from happening. Perhaps he's looking to stall.
Randall really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer.
Hart content to stall in guard here.

Randall looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Hart passes into side control.
Hart works to advance to full mount. Randall defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Hart is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!

Hart gets a double leg takedown into Randall's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

John Hart showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! This is the final round!



Hart drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Hart is looking to take a break and control but Randall is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Randall is looking to reverse the position.
Hart has control of an arm but Randall manages to advance to Hart's back!
Randall thows a huge left but connects with the canvas and not his opponent.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Randall throwing strikes and Hart squirms under the pressure, ending up mounted.
Hart holding onto his opponent's waist for dear life, as Randall tries to land some strikes to get him to release his grip.
Randall throwing strikes here but Hart is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.
Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Randall goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Hart turns into him and now he's in Randall's guard.

Hart stands up from Randall's guard - Hart perhaps looking for a knockout.
Randall shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hart pinned against the cage. Hart gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Hart scores with a takedown into Randall's guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hart slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Randall looking for subs off his back but Hart has passed one foot through into half guard.
Hart passes to side control.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Hart has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.

Hart is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Randall's half guard.
Randall wants to stand back up but Hart manages to pass into side control.
Randall is trying to escape the position but Hart is controlling the position.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
John Hart has got the better of the ground game so far.

Hart decides to stand back up. Hart steps back and let's Randall get back to his feet.
Allen Randall is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Hart fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Randall to the ground. Hart is now in Randall's guard.
Hart slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Hart stands up and waves to Randall to follow him.
Randall tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Hart swivels and escapes.
Hart tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Hart looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.

And that's the end of the fight!
John Hart comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Hart has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
