The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petrovic misses with an uppercut. Baptiste saw that one coming.

It looks like Emmanuel Baptiste has been cut.
Baptiste shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.
Petrovic throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Baptiste keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Petrovic cracks Baptiste with an uppercut from hell and Baptiste crumples to the canvas, he's out! Oh no, he's recovered and he's grabbed one of Petrovic's legs and pulled him into guard. The ref thought about stopping it there but he's let it go - good reffing!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Baptiste escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Petrovic gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Petrovic decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Petrovic misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Baptiste is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Baptiste avoids a punch combination nicely.
Petrovic lands a nice looking body shot.
Baptiste is breathing heavily.
Petrovic throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Baptiste slips under a jab from Petrovic.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Baptiste.
Petrovic tries to close the distance and clinch but Baptiste swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.

Petrovic lands with a hook. Baptiste tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

Emmanuel Baptiste's cut is bleeding quite badly. He's got to try and protect it.

Petrovic drops Baptiste with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Baptiste looks back up at him and smiles so Petrovic waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Petrovic stuffs the takedown attempt from Baptiste. Baptiste gets slowly back to his feet.

Nice combo by Petrovic! Oh, that's hurt him - Baptiste falls to the canvas and Petrovic follows him into side control.

Petrovic drops Baptiste with a big left hand and mounts him. Baptiste is in big trouble!

Petrovic is standing up out of mount! Strange tactic there - he must really want this one on the feet!
Baptiste uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Petrovic.
A jab-cross combination lands for Petrovic and sends Baptiste crashing to the mat! Petrovic follows him down to the mat - Baptiste regains half guard but he's not out of trouble yet!

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Emmanuel Baptiste's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
