Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Anthony Ramirez !
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Dean Styles and John Roberts.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ramirez dives in and scores a takedown into Dalton's guard.

Dalton pushes Ramirez off and gets back to his feet.

Ramirez darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard.
Dalton is looking for a sweep. Ramirez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Ramirez is figuring out what he wants to do next.

Ramirez is working for a submission of some sort.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Ramirez is pressing down on Dalton's thigh, looking to free his foot. Dalton is holding on for now.
Ramirez seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Dalton does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Well, if Ramirez is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Dalton is looking for a sweep. Ramirez is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Ramirez stands up from half guard.
Dalton blocks a head kick by Ramirez .

Dalton gets caught napping as Ramirez dives in and scores a takedown. Dalton manages to retain guard.
Dalton is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Ramirez is pushing down on Dalton's leg trying to pass to half guard. Dalton is fighting to maintain full guard but Ramirez has managed to sneak the leg through.

Dalton could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Ramirez working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Ramirez is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.

Dalton is desperately trying to improve his position but Ramirez has a good base and remains in mount.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Ramirez controlling the position easily from mount.
Ramirez can't control as he wanted to and Dalton manages to get the fight back to his half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ramirez is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Dalton is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Dalton has escaped and now he's on top!

Ramirez looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Dalton passes into side control.
Dalton lands an elbow.

Ramirez tries to bench press Dalton off him but Dalton keeps the position.
Ramirez gets back to half guard.
Ramirez is controlling Dalton's trapped leg to prevent Dalton from advancing to side control.
Dalton throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

Dalton content to control rather than advance.

Ramirez looks like he's trying to stand up.
Ramirez is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Dalton's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Dalton's back!
Ramirez has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Dalton's body.

Ramirez lands a punch to the side of the head from the back.
Ramirez is landing with strikes. Dalton can't take much more of this.
Ramirez is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Dalton up.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - Ramirez 's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
Dalton tries to escape the position - he's now mounted. Is that better or worse? Hard to tell!
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Ramirez lands a heavy elbow.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Anthony Ramirez showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!


Ramirez misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Dalton misses with a takedown attempt - Ramirez sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Dalton tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Ramirez shoots in and bounces Dalton off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Dalton is looking to stand back up but Ramirez counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Dalton.

Ramirez in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Dalton tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Ramirez !

A relieved looking Anthony Ramirez thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
