Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Peter Hurst (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jamie KalKenny (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). There are an array of beautiful celebrities at ringside tonight! I wonder if any of them paid for their tickets.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hurst avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hurst tries to score a power double leg takedown but KalKenny sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Hurst somewhat.

KalKenny closes the distance and clinches.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hurst fails to pull guard.

KalKenny's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
KalKenny tests Hurst's chin there with a solid looking shot.

Hurst slips a jab and a cross from KalKenny.
Hurst really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
KalKenny connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.

KalKenny decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Hurst is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
KalKenny is trying to control the action in half guard but Hurst is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

KalKenny decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Hurst takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
KalKenny moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Hurst darts in looking for a takedown but KalKenny gets double underhooks and turns Hurst into the cage.

KalKenny fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Hurst sprawls well initially but KalKenny persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
It looks like KalKenny is going to stand back up.
Hurst has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. KalKenny is working away from the top position though.

KalKenny is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Hurst is staying active underneath KalKenny, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
KalKenny prevents Hurst from improving his position.

Hurst looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
KalKenny is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Hurst is staying active underneath KalKenny, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.

KalKenny lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
KalKenny getting the better of the striking in that exchange.
Hurst keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
As KalKenny looks to move away, Hurst throws a big counter combo but KalKenny just gets out of the way.
Hurst throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around KalKenny's waist but KalKenny gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Hurst off to one side.

Hurst gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.

Hurst has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. KalKenny has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.

and Hurst counters with a stiff right hand.

KalKenny wants to clinch up but Hurst keeps it at a distance.

KalKenny closes the distance and pushes Hurst back into the cage.

Oh Hurst is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

KalKenny is leaning against Hurst and scores with a nice uppercut to the body.
Hurst seems to have got his legs back now.
Hurst jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as KalKenny walks away with a smile on his face. Hurst gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
This has been an exciting period of action!
KalKenny stuns Hurst with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.
KalKenny slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Hurst is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here.
Hurst tries to improve position but can't.
Hurst is trying to control KalKenny's posture but KalKenny avoids it.
Hurst is in a bad position, trying to hold on for dear life but he is really struggling to maintain any sort of control.
Hurst tries to bench press KalKenny off him but KalKenny keeps the position.
Hurst is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on KalKenny's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Hurst is looking for a sweep. KalKenny is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
KalKenny seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.

The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight.

Sloppy strikes from KalKenny. Those never looked like landing.
Hurst seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
KalKenny fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

The crowd cheers as KalKenny lands an impressive looking overhand right. Hurst doesn't seem phased though.

KalKenny lands a really nice looking cross but Hurst seems unphased.

KalKenny bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Hurst's head backwards.

KalKenny looks up at the clock and then as Hurst takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, KalKenny smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Peter Hurst has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Jamie KalKenny is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
KalKenny works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.

Jamie KalKenny comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well KalKenny has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
