The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boob jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Boob tries to clinch up
and Ezeki counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Ezeki cracks Boob with a right hand to the side of the head.
Boob takes a swing at Ezeki's ribcage but misses.
Ezeki now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Boob takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.

Boob moves into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Ezeki stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Boob takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

Ezeki paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.

Boob fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ezeki manages to avoid it.
Ezeki ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
Ezeki dips down and scores with a jab to the body.

That's time! Boob's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight.

Ezeki lands with a nice combination. Boob backs away looking to recover.
Boob really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Thulani Ezeki seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Ezeki throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Boob stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Boob takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Ezeki wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.
Ezeki changes levels and scores with a jab to the body.
Boob ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Ezeki moves away.

Ezeki fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Boob on the side of the head.
Ezeki connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Oh Boob is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Ezeki has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Ezeki appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.

Thulani Ezeki showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
