Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chet Stedman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ury Dikunov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ury Dikunov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ury Dikunov!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Dikunov fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Stedman to the ground. Dikunov is now in Stedman's guard.
Dikunov controlling from the guard. I say controlling but really, he's stalling.
Dikunov is working Stedman over from the guard. He should look to pass the guard and do a little more damage with these strikes.
Dikunov wants to control from the top but Stedman keeps moving.

Stedman had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Dikunov defends it easily.
Dikunov throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Dikunov postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.

Dikunov really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Stedman. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Dikunov is looking to work some ground and pound but Stedman has wrist control.
Stedman wants to sweep but no luck.
Dikunov is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Dikunov stands up over Stedman, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Stedman is rocked!
Dikunov postures up from his opponent's guard, before exploding into some vicious ground and pound! Stedman covers up, he's hurt! Dikunov keeps throwing the strikes, glancing at the referee... Will he stop it?? One more big shot from Dikunov and the ref steps in to end the fight! Dikunov can't hide his delight as he celebrates with his corner.

Ury Dikunov decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
