The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Souza misses with a body shot.

Tripoli misses with a hook. Souza ducked under it nicely.
Souza looks to score with a jab to the body but Tripoli is just out of range.
Tripoli flicks out a counter leg kick but Souza steps away.
Souza misses with a looping right.
A slow jab from Souza misses its intended target.
Tripoli moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.

and Tripoli counters with a left to the body.

A jab from Tripoli finds it's way through Souza's defenses.

Tripoli throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Souza stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Tripoli fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.

Tripoli takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
A telegraphed right hand from Souza misses the target.
Souza is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Tripoli.

Souza throws a nice looking combination but Tripoli bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Tripoli walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Tripoli moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.

and Tripoli counters with a body kick that stops Souza in his tracks momentarily.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Tripoli steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Souza.

and Souza takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.

Tripoli fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Souza.
Tripoli wants to land a leg kick but Souza is out of range.

and Tripoli counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Souza misses the jab.
Tripoli throws a leg kick but Souza sees it coming and moves out of range.
It looked like Souza was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Souza throws a lazy right hand but Tripoli sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Souza looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Tripoli throws a counter combo.
Souza moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Souza misses with the combination.
Tripoli swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.

A solid leg kick lands there for Tripoli.
Souza fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Tripoli manages to avoid it.
Jeimisson Souza seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Tripoli will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Souza lands with a massive overhand right! Stick a fork in Tripoli - he's out cold! Ermm... I think I just mixed my metaphors but yeah... That was a nice KO! Big win for Souza!
