The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Steve Montenegro and Russell Pearce.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wong has DeNethial up against the cage in a clinch.
Wong prevents a takedown attempt there.

DeNethial's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
DeNethial shoots in for a takedown but Wong shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Wong misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.
DeNethial fails in his attempt to clinch.

DeNethial has his takedown stuffed
and DeNethial takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Gil Wong has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of DeMark DeNethial.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
No luck for DeNethial with that takedown attempt.

DeNethial wants to get back to his feet but Wong is dominant here and he's now got DeNethial's back!

Wong is working for the rear naked choke. He has one arm under the chin but DeNethial has hold of the other arm. A bit of a stalemate here.
DeNethial just trying to survive but Wong is wriggling into a better position, looking to finish.
DeNethial is being controlled on the ground here - he must escape this position otherwise surely the end is near.
Wong will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Wong is persistently looking for the submission but DeNethial is defending it well.

Wong controlling the position well here. DeNethial rolled but Wong kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.

Wong is remaining active here, looking for the choke. The more discerning members of the crowd will appreciate his efforts.
DeNethial is trying to get back to his feet but Wong has full control of the position and if anything, DeNethial has just worked his way into a worse spot.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

DeNethial is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.

DeNethial is trying to defend against the choke here but Wong has an arm under his chin. This one might not last much longer. Wong Tightens the hold and DeNethial taps out furiously! Wong displays superior BJJ to win the fight.
