Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Show Gunn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Donovan Cross (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have solid standup skills and neither is particularly fantastic on the ground, so let's hope for a nice standup war!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Cross fails to land the takedown.
Gunn is looking for a counter combo.
Cross shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Gunn as he jumps to the side.
Gunn turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Gunn scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Donovan Cross has been cut.
Gunn has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Aspire Acαdemy CT in the buildup to the fight.
The fight stays on the outside here - Gunn looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Show Gunn seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Gunn misses with a low kick.
Gunn avoids the head kick by Cross.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Cross doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Gunn counters with a lovely straight right hand!

Cross looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Gunn is fending him off so far but Cross persists. Nope, Gunn circles away and we're back to standing.

Cross tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Gunn swivels and escapes.
