Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Noam Nystrom (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Isaac Hayes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Isaac Hayes told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of New York, Noam Nystrom!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Amsterdam, Isaac Hayes!
The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Phil Schofield and Colin Fotheringham.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nystrom swinging wildly here.
Nystrom throws a jab when Hayes was well out of range.
Hayes tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Nystrom defends well and Hayes ends up having to push Nystrom into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Hayes will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Hayes has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Nystrom crunches a lovely knee into Hayes's ribcage.

Hayes gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Nystrom regains guard.
Hayes won't allow Nystrom to get back to his feet.
Hayes stands up over Nystrom, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

Hayes is stalling here. Nystrom is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Hayes seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Nystrom has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
