Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Gwen Towbar, Tiny Johnson and Cecil Peabody.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Pierce throws a head kick that half lands.
Gauthier is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Pierce's half guard.
Gauthier is controlling the pace.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Gauthier throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Nice sprawl there from Gauthier as Pierce shoots in.
Despite the aggression on Gauthier's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Gauthier fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Pierce to the ground. Gauthier is now in Pierce's guard.
Pierce not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Gauthier throws a big right hand that misses.
Gauthier sitting in guard, not really doing much.
Gauthier lands a couple of decent looking shots.

Gauthier gets to his feet - Pierce follows without any prompting.
Some bone on bone action there as Pierce checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
Pierce tries to clinch up but Gauthier circles away and keeps his distance.

Gauthier bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
Pierce is breathing heavily.
Gauthier advances to full mount.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Gauthier is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Pierce is forced to tap! Great finish!
