Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Gary Sandusky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nardong Putik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Gary Sandusky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of New York, Nardong Putik!
The judges for this bout are Ian Loll, Alec Ball and Dillan Fox.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No luck for Sandusky with that takedown attempt.

Sandusky drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Sandusky has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Putik!
Putik is trying to get to the cage to help him get back to his feet.
Sandusky lands a couple of nice shots there from mount.
Putik is trying to escape the mount.
Sandusky looking to control but Putik is working nicely, looking to advance position himself.
Putik is bucking up trying to escape but Sandusky cracks him with another couple of good strikes.
Putik really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Sandusky. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Putik is trying to escape but when you're mounted that's not too easy.
Sandusky lands an elbow that was bordering on illegal but the referee lets it go with a warning.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Putik can't escape the position.
Sandusky trying to control but he's not successful this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Putik is in a horrible position here. Sandusky smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.
Sandusky is in the full mount, landing strikes.
Sandusky can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Putik is looking to escape.

Putik has found himself in a tricky position here. He's been working his transitions in training so let's see if he can work his way out of it.
Putik is in a horrible position here. Sandusky smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Putik wants to try and get back to his feet.

You get the feeling that Putik really doesn't like being in this position too much.
Sandusky sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment.
Sandusky lands a big elbow.
Sandusky scoring with strikes but Putik is staying in there.

Sandusky trying to control but he's not successful this time.
Putik is looking to get back to his feet - it's going to be hard from this position.

Sandusky jumps to side control looking for an arm triangle but Putik manages to avoid the submission attempt.
Putik is not content to let Sandusky control the position.
Sandusky cracks Putik with an elbow. That is naaassty.

Putik wants to escape from the position here - easier said than done!
Sandusky working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Putik looks to move to half guard but instead Sandusky has passed into mount! Damn!
Putik is looking to improve his position but Sandusky isn't that keen on the idea.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Sandusky lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Sandusky wants to control the pace but Putik is squirming around nicely.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Sandusky cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Sandusky looking to control and managing it successfully.
Sandusky trying to control but Putik is having none of it.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Gary Sandusky dominated that round.
That's time! Back to the action!


Putik throws a right hand that Sandusky ducks under and follows up with a left that Sandusky also avoids with ease.
Sandusky tries to close the distance and clinch but Putik swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A little jabbing left from Putik on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.

Sandusky feints and as Putik raises his hands in defense, Sandusky changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Putik is looking to stand back up but Sandusky counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Putik.

Sandusky is figuring out what he wants to do next.
Putik is staying active underneath Sandusky, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

Putik looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
Sandusky is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sandusky landing strikes from the mount.
Sandusky can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Putik is looking to escape.
Putik is trying to stand up.

Putik is flailing around, obviously not happy about being mounted. Sandusky locks hold of one of his arms and spins for an armbar. He's got it! Putik is forced to tap!
