These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Adams misses with a body shot.
OConnor feints and then cracks Adams's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Adams down.
OConnor could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Adams with a body punch. A glancing blow.

Adams clinches with his opponent.
A left hand lands to the body for Adams.
Adams throws an elbow but it misses.
Adams lands a nice shot to the body.
A short right from Adams on the inside.
Adams's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.
Adams's coach down at ~KT-MMA~ was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Adams's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
OConnor can't break the clinch.
Adams pushes off an throws an elbow but OConnor leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.

OConnor is breathing heavily.
The referee is keeping an eye on Adams - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
An uppercut to the body lands inside from Adams.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Adams creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.
Adams lands on the inside with an uppercut.
Adams lands with a right to the head.
OConnor wants to break free but Adams has control.

Adams lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Adams lands a body shot in the clinch.
Adams digs a right hand underneath OConnor's ribcage. OConnor let out a lung full of air as it connected.
A nice right hand lands inside from Adams.
Adams lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of OConnor backwards.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

OConnor is rocked!
Adams lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage.
Oh OConnor is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!

Adams is muscling OConnor up against the cage and as OConnor bounces back off, Adams cracks him with a huge right hand! OConnor crumples to the mat - he's out cold! This one is all over!
