Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 7 - 10 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Andy Davis!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 6 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Danny Green!
The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Yves DeLean and Ian Loll.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Davis shoots in for a takedown but Green shows good takedown defense.

As Green looks to move away, Davis throws a big counter combo but Green just gets out of the way.

Green takes the fight into the clinch.

and Davis holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch.

We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Green can do anything to dispel that myth.
Davis seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Green for as long as he can get away with.
Green is not content to let Davis control the position.
Green is trying to control Davis's posture but Davis avoids it.

Green is trying to improve his position.
Davis in side control, throwing shots but Green defends.
You can see the frustration on Green's face, being in this tough position on the bottom.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Green is trying to get back to his feet.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Green shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Davis as he jumps to the side.
Davis misses with a takedown attempt - Green sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Green avoids the head kick by Davis.
Green is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.

Davis clinches up with Green and pushes him back against the cage.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Davis wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Green has him pressed against the cage.

Green manages to pull guard. Let's see whether he can land a sub off his back.
Davis is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Andy Davis will probably get the nod.

Davis tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Green manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Davis throws a leg kick but Green moved away.
Davis shoots in and drives through. Green sprawls well.
Green avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Green looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Davis is fending him off so far but Green persists. Nope, Davis circles away and we're back to standing.

Green cracks Davis with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Davis walks into a stiff left hand from Green.

Green throws a right and a left that both miss.
Green goes for a double leg but Davis avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Davis continues to drive forward.
Davis swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Green misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Davis throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.

and Green counters with a series of strikes. Davis will be more careful next time no doubt.
Davis tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Green paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Green looks for a takedown. He's got it. We're now in half guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Green prevents Davis from improving his position.
Davis is refusing to be controlled, as Green sits in half guard.

Green is working for a kimura but Davis is defending it quite comfortably.
Davis is trying to control but can't.
Davis is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.
Green thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.

Davis has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Green is working away from the top position though.
It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Green takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Davis moves into the clinch.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Green.
Green looking for a takedown.
Green pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.
Green tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.
Davis is trying to drag Green to the mat but Green just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

Green scores with a decent looking hook.
Davis throws a jab when Green was well out of range.
Green tries to clinch there but Davis circles away.
Green misses with a leg kick.
Green throws a head kick but Davis moves out of range.
Davis drops down looking for a counter takedown but Green sprawls and moves away.
Green shoots in looking for a takedown. Davis tries to sprawl out of it but Green keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Davis manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Danny Green showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Green ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Green no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.

Green throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Davis was covering up waiting for the punch and Green finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Green tries to free his leg and advance position but Davis is retaining full guard.
Davis wants to get back to his feet but Green is in a dominant position and won't allow it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Green slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

Green wants to control from the top but Davis keeps moving.
Davis seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Green not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.

Green has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

and Green counters with a three punch combo that has Davis backing up. Davis nods at Green to acknowledge the strikes.
Horrible takedown attempt by Green or perhaps it was just good defense by Davis, which made it look bad.
Andy Davis is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Green shoots in looking for a takedown but Davis manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Green's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Danny Green comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Green has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
