Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fat Boy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Fat Boy enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mark Hunter!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Fat Boy!
The judges for this bout are Francis DeMontford, Skip Squint and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boy bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes.
Hunter throws a body punch but Boy moves out of range.
Boy only half commits to the counter leg kick.
Hunter misses with a double jab.
Boy wants to counter with a clinch but Hunter pushes him away.
Hunter connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Boy's hands.
Hunter fails to land the takedown.
Hunter pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Boy throws a big counter head kick but Hunter avoids it with no problem.

Hunter decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.

Boy is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hunter pulls his head out easily.
Boy is trying to control but can't.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Hunter trying to control from half guard but Boy is working away.

Hunter moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Boy.
Boy trying his best to control but Hunter has mounted him.
Boy tries to lock up and control but Hunter gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Boy tries to reverse the position but Hunter maintains control.
Hunter controlling from mount.
Boy keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Boy is persisting with the attempt to improve his position.
Hunter unloading with bombs!

Boy tries to lock up and control but Hunter gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

Boy tries to reverse the position but Hunter maintains control.

Hunter has control of Boy's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Boy regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Boy tries to hold on but Hunter postures up.

That's three minutes gone in the round.

Hunter is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Boy has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Boy!

Boy decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.
Hunter shoots in looking for a takedown but Boy manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Hunter's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

and Boy makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Hunter. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Hunter gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
enabling Boy to counter with a crisp jab.
Hunter throws a combination that misses
and Boy connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Hunter misses with the combination.
Boy throws a counter combo.
Hunter misses with a right hand
and Boy counters with a nice low kick that buckles Hunter's knee momentarily.
Hunter is breathing heavily.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hunter gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Boy counters with a good low kick that Hunter was not able to check.
Hunter doesn't succeed with the takedown
and Boy makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Mark Hunter will probably get the nod.
Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!

Boy should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete.
Hunter misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hunter moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromBoy.
Hunter misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
As Hunter backs off Boy throws a huge counter combo but Hunter manages to avoid it all.

and Boy counters with a straight right hand.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Hunter throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Boy.
A countering left hand to the body from Boy misses.
Hunter seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Boy steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Hunter.
Boy tries to counter with a clinch but Hunter shakes him off and moves away.
Fat Boy seems to be getting the better of the standup.
Hunter gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Boy counters with a stiff right hand.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mark Hunter. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

No luck for Hunter with that takedown attempt.
Boy steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Hunter.
Hunter swings wildly with a couple of big hooks

and Boy moves into the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Boy.

Boy breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

and Boy counters with a stiff right hand.
Hunter changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Boy tries to avoid it but Hunter manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Boy to the ground. Boy escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Boy tries to counter with a clinch but Hunter shakes him off and moves away.

and Boy makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Hunter has his takedown stuffed
and Boy counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body.
Boy has been working his punching technique in the buildup to the fight and it appears to be paying off.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Boy looking to hit a scissor sweep but Hunter is one step ahead there.

Boy escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Hunter gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Boy looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Hunter passes into half guard.
Hunter missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.

Boy looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Boy has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Hunter is working away from the top position though.
Boy is not content to let Hunter control the position.

A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Boy moves into full guard.

Boy looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.

Boy is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Hunter is aware though and is defending well.
Hunter controls the pace of the fight for a moment.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Boy is trying to control the position from the bottom.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Hunter swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hunter throws a combination that misses
and Boy counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Fat Boy showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!


Hunter looks to land a combination but Boy avoids it well.
Boy drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Hunter defends it well.
Hunter fails with the takedown
and Boy counters with a nice uppercut.
Mark Hunter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Hunter closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Boy's guard.

Boy has his feet on Hunter's hips. He pushes off and gets to his feet. Nice work.
Hunter dips to his left and cracks Boy with an uppercut!

Boy tries to counter with a clinch but Hunter shakes him off and moves away.

Hunter shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Boy as he avoids it easily.
No joy there for Hunter, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Boy unleashes a big counter combination but Hunter bobs and weaves and avoids any damage.
Hunter swings away with a body shot that misses
and Hunter takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Hunter misses with a takedown attempt
and Boy counters with a three punch combo that has Hunter backing up. Hunter nods at Boy to acknowledge the strikes.
Hunter misses with a combination
and Boy counters with a leg kick that reverborates around the arena.
Hunter tries to bum rush Boy with a series of wild strikes but Boy uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Hunter tries a head kick but it misses.
Mark Hunter is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Hunter shoots and misses
and Boy counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Boy has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Hunter wants to clinch but Boy slips to the side
and Boy counters with a nice leg kick.
Hunter misses with a few strikes there.
Boy with the counter takedown but Hunter avoids it easily.
Hunter looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Boy tries a quick counter leg kick but Hunter is wise to it.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Hunter shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Boy counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Boy slips a jab and a cross from Hunter.
Despite the aggression on Boy's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.

Hunter shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Boy but Boy pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Boy is loading up here, looking for a big counter of his own.
Hunter fails with the takedown
and Boy counters with a straight right hand.
Hunter misses with a two punch combination.
Hunter misses with a takedown attempt

and Boy counters by moving into the clinch.
Hunter is working for takedown but Boy is calmly controlling the position for now.
Boy lands with a right to the head.

Boy successfully pulls guard.
Hunter wants to control from the top but Boy keeps moving.
Mark Hunter overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Boy holds on and takes a little breather.

Boy had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Hunter defends it easily.

Hunter got a little sloppy there for a moment and Boy has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Hunter has managed to get both his arms back between Boy's legs - danger averted.
Boy wants to stand but Hunter is controlling the position.

Boy looking for a guillotine here but Hunter defends easily.

And that's the end of the fight!
Fat Boy comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
I think Boy has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
