Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 16 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Prathamesh Randhawa!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Jake Norris!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shirou Masuda and Yukihiro Yamamoto.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Randhawa looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Norris is fending him off so far but Randhawa persists. Nope, Norris circles away and we're back to standing.

Randhawa manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Norris on his heels. He'll look to pass Norris's guard now, I'm sure.
We've been hearing that Randhawa has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Norris bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Randhawa's guard.


Randhawa working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Norris doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Norris manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Norris tries to stand but Randhawa is controlling from the bottom.
Norris is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Norris must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Randhawa is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Norris is looking to work some ground and pound but Randhawa has wrist control.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Randhawa holds on and takes a little breather.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Oh but Randhawa is tightening it up a little... Norris has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Norris reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Norris taps out! Nice BJJ there by Randhawa!

A relieved looking Prathamesh Randhawa thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
