The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Gowing scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

It looks like Steve Jackson has been cut.
Jackson takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Gowing misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Gowing slips a jab and a cross from Jackson.
Nice takedown defense from Jackson. No joy for Gowing on that attempt.
Jackson is looking to counter the offense by Gowing and move into the clinch.
Gowing fails with a takedown attempt.
Jackson moves in looking to clinch but Gowing pushes him off.
Gowing lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

With the two fighters working up against the cage, Jackson just misses with a elbow thrown towards Gowing's brow.
Jackson comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.

Jackson lands a nice elbow from the clinch.
Gowing blocks the elbow strike.
Gowing avoids the elbow strike from Jackson, against the cage.
Gowing tries for a takedown but Jackson manages to get underhooks.
Steve Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Cameron Gowing.
Gowing on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.

Gowing pulls guard effortlessly.
Jackson tries to free his leg and advance position but Gowing is retaining full guard.
Jackson wants to get up but he can't break Gowing's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here.

Gowing escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Jackson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Gowing has a closed guard, preventing Jackson from standing up.
Jackson trying to control but Gowing is working from the bottom.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.

Jackson forces Gowing back against the cage and clinches.

Jackson pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Gowing blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Jackson is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Gowing is defending well for now.

Gowing has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Jackson clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!

Gowing is controlling his opponent, waiting for an opportunity to finish.

Gowing working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Jackson is doing well to defend. Gowing seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Jackson is forced to tap and this one is over!
