The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Shimada, Shigeki Fujiwara and Sosuke Kotani.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Alexander tries to clinch up but Ricard circles away and keeps his distance.
Ricard lands a jab.
Ricard misses with a body kick.
Alexander closes the distance and pushes Ricard back into the cage.
Ricard lands a short shot on the inside that snaps the head of Alexander backwards.
Alexander escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Alexander tries to clinch but Ricard moves out of range.

The fighters circling - Ricard throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Ricard feints and then cracks Alexander's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Alexander down.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Alexander has his hands clasped together but Ricard extends and breaks Alexander's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Ricard.
