The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Gracie gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Gracie tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
Gracie pushes off an throws an elbow but Moriarty leans to the side and avoids it. We're back to clinching against the cage.
Gracie misses with a hook to the ribs.

Gracie decides to pull guard.

Moriarty got a little sloppy there for a moment and Gracie has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Moriarty has managed to get both his arms back between Gracie's legs - danger averted.

Moriarty slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Moriarty stands up over his opponent, looking to dive in with a big punch. Here he comes, superman style! Oh, the punch misses and Gracie has got him in a triangle choke for good measure! Oh no! Moriarty manages to get his head free but now Gracie has transitioned to an armbar! Moriarty grimaces and is forced to tap! Beautiful Jiu Jitsu from Gracie! I'd be surprised if that didn't end up as submission of the night!
