Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Asko Asinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jeremy Punzalan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jeremy Punzalan!
The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Sergei Dronov and Dmitry Maklakov.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Asinen scores with a takedown into Punzalan's guard.

Punzalan is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Asinen knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Punzalan on the ground.

Asinen got a little sloppy there for a moment and Punzalan has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Asinen has managed to get both his arms back between Punzalan's legs - danger averted.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Asinen stays in close to Punzalan's body and controls the position.
Asinen has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.
Asinen seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Punzalan for as long as he can get away with.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Punzalan has his foot on Asinen's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Asinen works his way back into a safe position though.

Asinen keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Punzalan's head.

Asinen slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

He's just covering up now, not defending himself intelligently - Asinen looks towards the ref and unloads with 3 more big shots and the ref has no choice but to stop the fight! Punzalan can't hide his disappointment, as Asinen celebrates the victory.
