Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Brian Grimes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hone Huia (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Huia has chosen Poi E - Patea Maori Club as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Robert Douchet, William Peck and Trevor Gratis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Grimes.
Huia throws an off balance right hand
and Grimes cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
The fighters circle momentarily. Grimes darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.
Grimes uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Huia.
Grimes thinks about countering with a body kick.
Huia fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
Grimes tries to clinch there but Huia circles away.
Jab, jab by Huia - just one landing.
Nice defenses there by Grimes.
Grimes throws a big counter combination but Huia scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Huia lands with a shot to the body.
Huia throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Huia throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Grimes tumbling to the canvas!
Grimes is rocked!
It looks like Brian Grimes has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Huia trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Oh Grimes is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Grimes keeping moving, preventing Huia from controlling successfully.
Grimes seems to have got his legs back now.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Huia sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Grimes's guard.
Huia trying to mount his opponent but Grimes defends it.
Huia is trying to control. Grimes wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Huia is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Grimes is just riding it out for now. Huia eventually gives up the hold.
Huia wants to free his trapped foot but Grimes is holding on for dear life with his legs.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace.
Huia passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Grimes!
Grimes has worked his way to half guard, taking advantage of Huia's lack of action.
Huia is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.
Huia is working for a kimura but Grimes is defending it quite comfortably.
Huia keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round.
Huia is trying to control. Grimes wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Grimes manages to escape and get back to his feet!
Grimes throws a nice looking combination but Huia bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Grimes takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Huia misses the body punch
and Grimes counters with a right hand to the body.
Grimes looks to land a combination. Huia sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Grimes throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
And Huia tries to counter it with a takedown but Grimes pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Huia throws a body shot but no joy.
Grimes is looking for a counter combo.
We've been informed that Huia has been working hard on his conditioning in the buildup to the fight.
A big left from Huia misses.
Grimes takes one to the chin there.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Huia dips down and scores with a jab to the body.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
Huia throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Grimes counters with a stiff right hand.
We've been told by Grimes's head coaches at MM eh Academy that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight.
Huia has his takedown stuffed
and Grimes counters with a three punch combo that has Huia backing up. Huia nods at Grimes to acknowledge the strikes.
A head kick misses from Grimes.
Huia throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Grimes stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Huia swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Grimes is looking for a counter combo.
Huia misses with an uppercut. Grimes saw that one coming.
Huia throws a looping overhand right but Grimes ducks down to avoid it.
Grimes takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket.
Grimes takes a shot to the body in his stride.
Huia circles away from the clinch attempt.
Grimes walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.
Huia drops his shoulder and cracks Grimes with a huge uppercut! Grimes goes down! Can Huia finish him?
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Hone Huia dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Brian Grimes's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Huia drops Grimes with a straight left! Oh this is bad for Grimes! Huia dives in and starts dropping bombs - the referee has no choice but to step in and save him!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Hone Huia!
An out of breath and clearly excited Hone Huia thanked Amped Performance for their help and support (and free stuff they sent him).
