PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kendrick Allan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gunter Schultz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Schultz has chosen Imperial March (L.O.D. Rage Mix) as his entrance music. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Frank Dennis, Alan Glass and Stewart Dunkirk.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight.
Allan fakes a head shot and lands one to the body.

Allan fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Schultz looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Allan connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Allan punishes Schultz's body with a nice straight punch.
Allan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

And Schultz tries to counter it with a takedown but Allan pushes his down on his head and steps out.

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Schultz might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Allan has got the better of the exchanges.
Allan lands a nice hook to Schultz's body. Schultz takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Schultz wants to pass the guard but Allan is keeping the position.

Schultz is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.

Schultz drops back looking for a leg! Allan is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Allan manages to kick Schultz off! Schultz jumps back into Allan's guard.

Schultz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Schultz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.

Allan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Schultz on the ground.

Schultz drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Schultz jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
Schultz tries to free his leg and advance position but Allan is retaining full guard.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Allan can't keep his opponent in guard - Schultz advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

Schultz maintaining the dominant position here and is working for a kimura. He's locked it up! Allan could be in real trouble here! He's trying to wriggle out but Schultz has cracked it and Allan is screaming in pain - he's tapped out! Great finish by Schultz!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:27 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Gunter Schultz!
After the fight, Gunter Schultz was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
