The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Lottonen throws a head kick but Dar moves out of range.
Lottonen plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!

Lottonen shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Dar is trying to defend but Lottonen finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.

Lottonen is looking for a kimura but Dar is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Lottonen to get the leverage.
Dar preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Lottonen looks to land a strike but Dar avoids it nicely and regains full guard.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Dar is working actively from the bottom, looking for submissions. He's escaped his hips to the side and he's going for an armbar! Lottonen has his hands clasped together but Dar extends and breaks Lottonen's desperate grasp, forcing a tap out due to armbar! Nice BJJ displayed there by Dar.
