Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Darrel Petersen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Thom Epicosuarez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Darrel Petersen!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Thom Epicosuarez!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Johanna Lukiainen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Petersen misses the shot to the body.

Epicosuarez throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Petersen was covering up waiting for the punch and Epicosuarez finishes the takedown easily into guard.

That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Petersen lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Darrel Petersen.
I think Petersen has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
