The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Simmons shoots in for a double leg but Marley sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Marley changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Simmons tries to avoid it but Marley manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Simmons to the ground. Simmons escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Simmons tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Simmons throws a push kick but Marley slaps the foot to one side.

Simmons shoots in looking for a takedown. Marley tries to sprawl out of it but Simmons keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Marley manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Marley lands a nice forearm strike.
Marley looks up at the clock and then as Simmons takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Marley smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

Marley swings around for an armbar but Simmons sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into Marley 's guard.

Marley is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Marley is looking for a kimura here.
Marley wants to take a breather but Simmons is having none of it.

Marley is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Simmons is just riding it out for now. Marley eventually gives up the hold.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

Simmons shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Marley pinned against the cage. Marley gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Marley closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Marley lands in his opponent's guard.

Marley is working Simmons over with some ground and pound from side control.

Marley is working to tighten his grip on Simmons's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Simmons has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Marley is really squeezing tight and eventually Simmons passes out! Marley breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!
