Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Dan Sudo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tasha Ventura (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Tasha Ventura enters the cage!

Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
9 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Dan Sudo!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

5 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tasha Ventura!
The judges for this bout are Yukihiro Yamamoto, Ren Mimura and Tatsuya Matsuyama.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ventura scores with a jab. Sudo acknowledges it with a nod of the head.
Sudo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Ventura counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Dan Sudo seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Sudo shoots and misses
and Sudo takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Sudo takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.
Sudo tries for a takedown but Ventura circles away easily
and Ventura connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dan Sudo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Sudo gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Sudo shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Ventura pinned against the cage. Ventura gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
A countering left hand to the body from Ventura misses.
Ventura lands a jab to Sudo's midsection.
Ventura cracks a nice hook into Sudo's ribs.
Sudo shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Ventura but Ventura pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Ventura swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Sudo shoots in but doesn't get the takedown
and Ventura cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Sudo changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Ventura tries to avoid it but Sudo manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Ventura to the ground. Ventura escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Ventura moves into range and connects with a jab.
Ventura paws at his opponent with the jab and then lunges in with a straight, right on the button.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sudo looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Ventura is fending him off so far but Sudo persists. Nope, Ventura circles away and we're back to standing.
Ventura has worked on his takedown defense in the runup to this fight and it is paying off so far.
Ventura stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.

Sudo with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Ventura to score with a decent uppercut.
Nice shot lands for Ventura.
Sudo takes a jab right on the kisser.
Ventura lands a slapping body shot.
Sudo takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Ventura is landing a lot of head punches in this opening round! Sudo had better start moving his head a bit unless he wants his face to turn into pâté.
Ventura connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Sudo's hands.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ventura fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Sudo takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Sudo is rocked!
Ventura bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Sudo's head backwards.
Oh Sudo is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Sudo misses with a takedown
and Ventura counters with a straight punch to the midsection.
Sudo seems to have got his legs back now.
Ventura connects with a jab and follows up with a big overhand right! Oh that's hurt Sudo! He's out on his feet! Ventura rushes in and drops Sudo with another big right hand, forcing the referee to stop the fight!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:55 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punches). Tasha Ventura! Tasha Ventura retains his lightweight title!
A relieved looking Tasha Ventura thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
